treasure In the last post, we talked about our destination being a relationship with God the Father.  God created us to have a relationship with Him.  So the journey on our road is perusing that relationship.  Now let's look at one of the distractions that keeps us from that goal... the world. Aww... size 9. I love this picture. Rustee actually took this picture with her cell phone at my niece's birthday party. Just look at it. We all used to be able to wear those skates. Remember that? The wheels so tight you really couldn't skate... it was more like walking. When I see these skates, I see innocence. I see his endless opportunity. It's mine and Rustee job to nurture that endless opportunity. Dad and kids One day when Brady was around four years old, he was sitting on his bed as I walked in and asked him to pick-up in his room. With an as a matter of fact attitude Brady says, “You know Dad, you’re not the boss of me. God is.” Surprised, I responded, “Yes, this is true. Seeking God

For years my favorite scripture has been Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." But the next two verses have been heavy on my heart lately: 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
  1. If (and when) we call upon Him... He listens.  The God of all creation listens to me!
  2. When I seek Him with all of heart, I will find Him.
