The distraction of the [...]

The Road | Part 1: Destination

Our destination on the road of “Christianity” is not salvation. It is, technically, not Heaven either. Salvation is the beginning of our journey. Once we accept and receive Jesus for all He has done for us, Heaven is a given. Where else would we go?
So if our goal is not salvation, or even heaven, [...]

Aww… size 9. I love this picture. Rustee actually took this picture with her cell phone at my niece’s birthday party. Just look at it.
We all used to be able to wear those skates. Remember that? The wheels so tight you really couldn’t skate… it was more like walking.
When I see these skates, I see [...]

You, Julie and Julia

Okay. Here’s the thing. My wife, Rustee, and I love our date nights. These normally include dinner, a movie, and the book store (not always in that order). However, sometimes she and her friends will have their GNO (girls night out).
Recently on one of their crazy excursions, Rustee and another of the GNO-gang members [...]

Rules or Relationships

One day when Brady was around four years old, he was sitting on his bed as I walked in and asked him to pick-up in his room. With an as a matter of fact attitude Brady says, “You know Dad, you’re not the boss of me. God is.”
Surprised, I responded, “Yes, this is true. [...]

Seeking God

For years my favorite scripture has been Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

But the next two verses have been heavy on my heart lately:
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

If (and when) we call upon Him... He listens. The God of all creation listens to me!

When I seek Him with all of heart, I will find Him.

God has us (me and my family) in a really special place right now. There has been many changes the past few
